Female Architect Found Lifeless After Allegedly Harassed in Davao City
Police authorities discovered a female architect lifeless and wrapped with banana leaves after allegedly being harassed in Davao City.
The 28-year-old architect discovered wrapped in dry banana leaves at a farm in Davao City is thought to have been sexually harassed before being murdered. According to the report, the victim was observed riding a yellow tricycle on CCTV around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16.
According to the prior report, the victim was able to text his parents that she was riding a tricycle home. The victim’s body was discovered in a banana plantation field the following day.
Other tricycle drivers, according to Davao City Police Office spokesperson Police Major Catherine Dela Rey, don’t even know who the victim was traveling with before being killed.
“Sinasabi ng ibang tricycle driver, hindi rin nila alam kung sino [ang driver]. And then, pagsakay ng victim sa naturang motorcycle, may nauna nang nakasakay na lalaki,” said Dela Rey.
According to Dela Rey, the victim died from suffocation caused by physical strangulation or she was strangled. It was also established that the victim had been r4ped, she added.
Investigators are having difficulty identifying the trike used since it lacks a body number or license plate. A special task force has been constituted to identify the criminal suspect. The victim’s family is demanding that the female architect be held accountable.
