John Lapus has the right to give sound advice to the younger generation of stars
Comedian-director John Lapus has this advice to young stars in order for them to achieve longevity in the entertainment industry.
John started his career in showbiz back in the early 1990s. From being a comedian, he was able to take another step as a showbiz personality. He started working as a director and he has been receiving good words for this.
With all the years he spent in showbiz, John has very useful advice for the younger generation, based on the article in Bandera.
John Lapus underlined the value of professionalism. He stressed that this is important in order to continue doing projects whether on TV or in movies. The comedian-director also said that professionalism should be accompanied by a good attitude.
“Maging professional at mabait. Trabaho ito at hindi gimmick. Professionalism is key,” John said.
He cited that there are professionals who are not kind to their co-stars and people in the production team and so, this invalidates the “professionalism.” John said that it is important to be “mabait.”
When asked how he would deal with “pasaway” artists as he is the director, John said that he is thankful to APT for allowing him to be part of the casting process. Through this, he is being able to choose the stars he wants to work with as he knows they have no attitude problems.
The comedian-director was also asked about the status of his love life. He said that he is currently busy taping Jack And Jill and the Season 2 of Asian TV Awards nominee for Comedy Balita OneNan. He shared that they will be airing this June on TV5 and the Buko Channel of Cignal Cable.
