Batang Quiapo Not Following Timeslot, Kapuso Writer Reacts

Netizens noticed that Batang Quiapo had a broadcast delay

Kapuso writer Suzette Doctolero reacted to a fan page post about the Kapamilya series Batang Quiapo not following its own timeslot.

The Kapamilya series features Coco Martin as the lead actor and also the director. His leading lady is Lovi Poe and they are joined by veteran stars like Charo Santos, Lorna Tolentino, and Cherry Pie Picache.

The Kapuso series that is airing on the same timeslot as the Kapamilya series is Voltes V: Legacy. It is the Pinoy live-action version of the popular Japanese anime. This featured Dennis Trillo, Albert Martinez, and Martin del Rosario.

The five characters behind the Voltes V robot are played by Miguel Tanfelix, Radson Flores, Matt Lozano, Raphael Landicho, and Ysabel Ortega.

In a Twitter post on May 15, the fan page Madam Beki Not Vidanes, screenshots of tweets about the delayed airing of Batang Quiapo were shared.

It was said that some noticed that the broadcast delay took more than 30 minutes. With this, the fan page asked if the Kapamilya series was avoiding airing at the same time when Voltes V is airing.

“Batang Quiapo hindi umere ng eksaktong oras sa timeslot? At nalate diumano ito ng 36minutes bagay na ipinagtaka ng mga kakaunting manunuod. Dahil nga ba umiiwas ito makasagupa ang Voltes V dahil hindi nilacito magiba sa Ratings. For more scoop and update please follow me,” the post stated.

This received a comment from Suzette Doctolero. The writer said that their rival show has been doing this. Allegedly, it is because the Kapamilya series wants to get a higher rating than what is shown on GMA.

“Ginagawa na nila yan dati pg olats. Umi style Pra sa per minute mas mataas sila kasi ang kalaban nila ay yung sumunod na programa na mas mababa,” Suzette said.
