A basher assumed that Winwyn Marquez did not congratulate her cousin Michelle Dee
Kapuso actress Winwyn Marquez slammed a basher who wrote a negative comment on her post congratulating Miss Supranational Philippines 2023 Pauline Amelinckx.
Winwyn also had her pageant journey and she became successful as a beauty queen. In 2017, she joined Binibining Pilipinas. Although she did not win the Miss Universe Philippines crown, she was named as the country’s representative for the Reina Hispanoamericana competition that year.
That was the first time that the Philippines joined the said international beauty pageant. Winwyn, as the first Pinay representative in Reina Hispanoamericana also became the first Pinay beauty queen to win that crown.
Although fans have been urging her to join the Miss Universe Philippines pageant, she officially ended her pageant journey in 2021.
This year, Winwyn Marquez’s cousin Michelle Dee joined once again and she won. Through a Twitter post, Winwyn congratulated her cousin. “Congratulations Michelle!! The stars have aligned for you. will support you all the way. Let’s go Philippines,” the daughter of Joey Marquez and Alma Moreno said.
After she congratulated the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 winner, Winwyn also congratulated the Boholana beauty. “To Pauline, my heart goes out to you! Grabe yung winning glow mo last night. I know how sincere you are & how hard you work on all your endeavors. I know you’ll shine sa Ms. SUPRANATIONAL Stage. Congratulations, Queen!” Winwyn wrote in her Twitter post.
In the comment section, a netizen commented, “Support sa iba. Sa cousin hindi.” Winwyn’s dad and Michelle’s mom Melanie Marquez are siblings.
The Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 slammed the basher. “Luh. assumera. Bawal mag congratulate?” she fired back.
