No more pageants for Winwyn Marquez
Kapuso star Winwyn Marquez officially ended her beauty pageant journey through this heartfelt post for those who have been supporting her.
Winwyn joined Miss World Philippines in 2017. In the same year, she got the chance to represent the country in the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant.
Fortunately, she brought the first-ever crown that the Philippines got from the said pageant. Her performance back then was indeed remarkable to the point that her fans were anticipating that she will join another national pageant.
Just recently, after the announcement of the Miss Universe Philippines Organization that it is now accepting applicants for this year’s pageant, fans are waiting that Winwyn Marquez will join.
However, she answered a netizen that she will not be joining the pageant. Following this, she shared a series of her throwback photos when she competed in the international pageant. She expressed gratitude for all the support she received.
“I am overwhelmed with all your messages grabe non stop. 2015 and 2017 ako sumali.. ngayon 2021 na at hanggang ngayon ganyan padin kayo. Thank you so much pero hanggang sa pag support nalang ako sa mga candidates natin and sa mga gusto sumali ng pageants,” the Kapuso actress said.
She added that sometimes people have to embark on another journey but she stressed that “once a Miss Philippines, always a Miss Philippines.”
Winwyn Marquez also thanked her Aces & Queens family, as well as Jonas Gaffud for polishing her walk and helping her in her journey.
Several netizens who commented on this post of Winwyn said that the Philippines should send representative like her in the international pageants.
