The meaningful tweet is being talked about on social media.

After having confidential money in their respective offices, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte’s request sparked questions among netizens. According to DBM Joint Circular 2015-01, as secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd), confidential expenses are permissible in civilian offices, including DepEd.

Recently, Senate Minority Leader Aquilino Pimentel III pushed the DepEd to use confidential money to provide electric fans at public schools to protect students from the archipelago’s harsh summer heat. Pimentel chose electric fans over air conditioners because they are more expensive.
