Former Church Janitor Julius Hilario Ladigohon Becomes CEO of His Own Company Due to Faith and Determination
CHURCH JANITOR – A former Church janitor became a CEO of his own company because of his faith and determination.
Julius Hilario Ladigohon is a living example that if someone has faith and determination, they can overcome all obstacles. Although he was born into poverty and could not afford an education, Julius refused to let this hinder his dreams.
Lagidohon also continued to support his parents, who were charcoal makers, while pursuing his ambitions. He Julius grew up in the church, aspiring to become a priest. Despite their financial difficulties, he never gave up on his studies.
The latter worked as a project maker for his classmates, earning just enough to pay for his lunch. After graduating from high school, Julius left his hometown of Pangasinan and went to Baclaran Church in Manila, where he met Fr. Thom Hodgins.
Fr. Thom Hodgins offered Julius a job as a janitor at the church, which enabled Julius to continue his studies by granting him a scholarship. Julius was proud of his job as a janitor and worked tirelessly, despite the long commute and extended work hours.
The Church janitor knew that his hard work and perseverance would pay off in the end. After five years, Julius earned a degree in B.S. in Customs and Administration. He worked for a logistics company and later became its vice president.
With the help of his wife, Julius established his own company, PFES Worldwide Logistics Corporation, starting with just two laptops and a desk. The company now employs ten people.
Julius has also built his own home, farm, and cars. As a way of giving back, he intends to create a scholarship program for deserving students who cannot afford an education. Julius believes in helping others because he came from a community that also helped him.
