Enrique Gil talked about his showbiz comeback
Actor Enrique Gil revealed that he almost gave up his showbiz career as he took a break for three years.
On April 25, Enrique officially returns. He signed a contract with ABS-CBN which debunked the allegations that he will switch networks. Since last year, it was rumored that the actor was negotiating with GMA.
Enrique remains a Kapamilya and he is excited about his showbiz comeback. Based on the article in Manila Bulletin, the actor said that he misses the industry.
“Of course I missed it. I’ve been doing it for so long. It’s hard not to miss it. The love for the fans and everything. Nakaka-miss talaga s’ya,” the actor said. Enrique Gil also said that he has been quiet for quite a long time.
Fans were asking him why he is not posting updates on social media. For almost three years, the actor took a break from making showbiz projects as well. He said that he just wanted to be quiet and spend time with his family.
During that time, he was traveling back and forth between the US and Spain. Amid the pandemic, he chose to be with his family. Now that he is back in showbiz, it makes him happy to see familiar faces and he is touched by this.
However, there was a point when Enrique almost gave up. “For a time, because I really enjoyed the three years out,” the actor said. This thought was hindered by the feeling that there was something missing.
“I need to leave a legacy in my own production company and I really want to make our Filipino content to make it out globally,” he said. Enrique Gil also stressed that his comeback would not just be because of the mere reason for coming back but he wants it to be a purposeful endeavor.
