Anti-Illegal Drugs Ops Seized a Police and 6 Others in Sultan Kudarat

Authorities arrested a police and six (6) others drug suspects during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Sultan Kudarat.

This Wednesday, another police officer was apprehended together with six others during an anti-drug operation in Barangay Salimbao, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte. According to the report, the arrested officer’s name is Master Sgt Sarip Sinsing Mastura.

The cop’s accomplices were identified as Kasumi Ones Quindara, Esmail Salgan Macalbas, Sam Mohammad Sandakan, Michael Sanchez Compaa, Jamil Datucali Macalimbol, and Tato Santucan Madin, according to Christian Frivaldo, director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

They are now in custody after being nabbed in an entrapment scheme. According to Frivaldo, PDEA-BARMM operatives and police paid P170,000 for illegal drugs known as “shabu” to Mastura and his associates. Mastura, according to Frivaldo, is a member of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.

Based on the report, an indeterminate amount of suspected shabu, a Glock pistol with ammo, and drug paraphernalia were seized from them. Four hours later, PDEA investigators detained five individuals inside a suspected drug den in the same town’s Barangay Tamontaka.

Juliet Torres Gori, the suspected operator of the drug den that allegedly catered to illegal gaming, was among those arrested. According to Salik, the buy-bust operation in Barangay Tamontaka was carried out after a week of observation.

Agents recovered P87,000 narcotic products from Gori’s group. All apprehended suspects are being held at the PDEA-BARMM detention facility in Cotabato City until the filing of proper charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
