Barbie Forteza, David Licauco Fan 'Intense' Reaction to Proposal Reenactment

A fan of Barbie Forteza and David Licauca took a higher notch in having a fan mode

Kapuso stars Barbie Forteza and David Licauco’s reenactment of their Maria Clara at Ibarra proposal scene received an intense reaction from a fan.

The love team partners did the reenactment during the “The Way You Look at Me” music video Thanksgiving party. Barbie and David, also known as the FiLay or BarDa love team starred in Ben & Ben’s cover of Christian Bautista’s song.

During the event, the popular tandem brought “kilig” to their fans when they did the proposal scene again which their characters Fidel and Klay did.

Based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Barbie Forteza asked David Licauco, “Anong pangalan ko?” The actor answered with a question. “Binibining Klay, maaari mo ba kong pakasalan?” he said.

When David tried to put the ring on Barbie’s finger, the actress jokingly said that she has not said yes yet. Then, she whispered something in David’s ear and he continued putting the ring on her finger.

The actor shared that the marriage proposal scene in Maria Clara at Ibarra was his idea. “Parang inisip ko lang maganda sigurong gawin actually papakasalan… parang gusto na kitang pakasalan, ganon,” he said.

That proposal reenactment was intensified by a fan. Twitter user @manoknacube shared David and Barbie’s photos taken during the thanksgiving party and the one showed the exact moment that the actor was on his knee as he and the actress were doing the proposal scene again.

“Couple announced marriage on October 5, 2023, their wedding will be held privately with family and close relatives attending,” the fan wrote in the caption of the post.
