Last Monday (April 17, 2023), a promodiser, employed at a department store located in I.T. Park, Barangay Apas, Cebu City, found himself in legal trouble and ultimately behind bars when he was apprehended for attempting to steal packs of chocolates worth P400.

The suspect was identified as John Restee Amore, 30 years old, and a resident of Barangay Buhisan, Cebu City, according to case investigator, Senior Master Sergeant Enrique Manulong of Mabolo Police Station.

It was reported that the suspect was required to undergo a routine body search by a security guard as he finished his shift at the supermarket. During the search, the guard found two packs of chocolates attached to his buttock, leading to his immediate apprehension.

Amore has expressed remorse and pleaded for forgiveness from the management of the department store. However, a theft case will be filed against him for his alleged crime. He is currently detained at the Mabolo Police Station.
