Police Arrests Suspect for Stealing Gas Station’s Income Worth P774,000
A male suspect has been arrested for stealing from a gas station in Quezon City, with a reported income of P774,000. The culprit has been identified as Fredie Dinopol, who was working as a foreman at a convenience store undergoing renovation at the gas station.
According to Police Captain Jeff Tuyo, deputy station commander of Novaliches Police, an employee of the gas station caught Dinopol in the act of committing the crime. Dinopol had allegedly been working at the location for almost a month before the theft occurred.
When confronted, Dinopol reportedly admitted to the crime, stating that he needed the money to pay off a debt of P6,000. He claimed that he couldn’t control himself because he was drunk at the time and didn’t realize the consequences of his actions.
“Hindi ko napigilan sarili ko kasi nakainom po ako kaya nung time na ano, ‘di ko alam na nagawa ko po,” Dinopol said.
Dinopol also mentioned that he had been facing family problems. The suspect now faces charges of robbery for his actions. Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
The stolen amount of P774,000 is reportedly a significant sum, and the gas station is taking appropriate measures to address the incident and prevent similar occurrences in the future.
The arrest of Dinopol serves as a reminder of the consequences of committing theft and the importance of adhering to the law. Authorities are urging the public to respect the property of others and to refrain from engaging in any form of illegal activity.
