WALANG PASOK – Malacañang Palace has declares April 21, 2023 as a regular holiday for the observance of Eid’l Fitr.
On Friday (April 14, 2023) Malacañang, through Presidential Proclamation No. 201, declared April 21, 2023 (Friday) as a regular holiday in observance of Eid’l Fitr or the Feast of Ramadan.
The statement aims to allow the entire Filipino nation to observe and celebrate Eid’l Fitr in peace and harmony with their Muslim brothers and sisters. The declaration also tries to emphasize the religious and cultural significance of Eid’l Fitr in the national awareness.
This holiday declaration is in line with the recommendation of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos to observe April 21, 2023, as a national holiday throughout the country to commemorate Eid’l Fitr, also known as the Festival of Sweets.
