Family Found by Authorities Hugging Each Other After Died Due to Fire in Pangasinan
Authorities discovered the corpses of a family hugging each other after a fire broke out in their home in Pangasinan.
In the early hours of April 3, 2023, a fire reportedly broke out in a residence in Poblacion, District IV, Pozorrubio, Pangasinan. The fire reached the second alarm and was declared out for more than two hours before being pronounced out.
Five people died in the incident, according to Senior Fire Officer IV Randy Fabro, the acting municipal fire marshal of the Bureau of Fire Protection Pozorrubio. Mark and Dixie Villanueva were identified as the deceased couple. Sadly, the couple’s three children, ages six, three, and one, were also killed.
When they found them, the family hugged, according to SF04 Fabro. According to the article, they were trapped in their home’s attic. According to the preliminary investigation, the fire started in the couple’s garage.
The source of the fire is likely to be an electric bike that was charging but was not removed from the socket. Netizens expressed their sympathies to the family who perished in the fire. As a result of the incident, other netizens cautioned those who own e-bikes not to leave them charging.
