Teacher Goes Viral After Caught Harassing a Male Student who Failed to Cut His Hair
A teacher in Negros Occidental is on hot water after being caught on camera harassing a male student who failed to cut his hair.
A Pontevedra National High School teacher received backlash on social media after being recorded on film lecturing and criticizing a grade 11 student for cutting his hair. The accused instructor was named Querubin Ymballa, while the student was Rhavier Nio Soliguen, 16, of Barangay Miranda in Pontevedra.
In an interview with the Aksyon Radyo, the victim’s father revealed that the principal of PNHS had sent a memo regulating the haircut. He did, however, explain that his kid was unaware of the policy because he was maybe gone when it was announced.
According to Denver, his child arrived at school without a haircut and entered the teacher’s classroom after the flag-raising ceremony at 8 a.m. on Monday, the day of the event. Based on the article, the father contacted his son after discovering the teacher carrying a pair of scissors.
The teacher wanted to cut his hair to allow him to attend the classroom, but the kid refused because it could only be cut outside of school. Denver reported the incident to the Pontevedra PNP, who referred it to the DSWD.
According to the father, they spoke with the principal and the teacher, who both apologized to him when he became enraged. However, Denver claims that they decided to launch a lawsuit against the teacher after noticing that his son was upset and ashamed of what had happened.
