PAGASA Says LPA’s Trough to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the trough or extension of a low pressure area will bring rains over parts of the country.

On Monday (April 3, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The trough or extension of a low pressure area will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the trough or extension of a low pressure area (LPA) off General Santos City expected to bring overcast skies and rainfall to the entire Mindanao. However, hot and humid weather condition over the rest of the country.

“Ngayong araw, sa ating mga kababayan sa Mindanao, malaki ang tiyansa ng maulap na kalangitan, na may mga pag-ulan dulot ng trough o extension ng low pressure area,” Pagasa weather specialist Ober Badrina said.

The Localized Thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Benguet, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, Apayao and Aurora.

Similar weather condition is expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

“Sa Visayas at sa Luzon, makikita ninyo halos wala masyadong kaulapan, inaasahan natin na magiging mainit pa din ang panahon sa araw na ito pero posible yung mga isolated rain showers and thunderstorms,” Badrina added.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the entire archipelago will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
