Kapamilya actress Andrea Brillantes revealed the story behind her promposal to her boyfriend actor-basketball player Ricci Rivero.
Andrea and Ricci trended on social media after Blackpink’s concert at the Philippine Arena on March 25. It is because of the promposal she did during the concert. The actress prepared banners in which she wrote her proposal to her boyfriend.
Andrea wanted to invite Ricci to the Star Magic Prom 2023. Blackpink’s Rose noticed the banner and read what was written there. The K-pop star also encouraged Ricci to say yes. The basketball nodded and said yes and the crowd cheered.
Even the Blackpink members showed their “kilig” reactions. This went viral online and different reactions were expressed by netizens.
On March 30, Andrea Brillanates and Ricci Rivero looked so stunning in their matching prom outfit. Their theme was “Bridgerton princess and prince,” based on the article in PEP.
Ricci said that they have always been talking about themselves. They consider each other as prince and princess. He added that his girlfriend loves fairytales.
“Princess din name ko sa phone niya. Gusto ko kasi princess treatment. So, gusto ko talaga siya damahin tonight,” the actress said. Andrea also shared that she did not expect that Blackpink would notice her promposal banner.
She shared that she has been planning for that for quite too long already. Andrea also revealed that she can’t sleep well thinking about this for a week. She had apprehensions if this will be noticed by Blackpink or will it fail. “And talagang wala, sinugal ko lang, I just risked it,” she added.
Andrea Brillantes also said that she did not do any behind-the-scenes because she did not expect that her banner will be noticed. She is happy that Ricci Rivero was surprised and he said yes.
The actress said that her boyfriend did not know about that. He only realized during the concert that Rose mentioned his name.
