The nurse, identified as Faith Nester Poltic or @NovaVFaith on Twitter, drew attention from netizens after posting a tweet that urged the nurse attending to the former first lady to do something unethical. This tweet caused a stir on social media, with many condemning the message as inappropriate and unprofessional.
“Kung sino mang nurse ni Imelda, pls do it for all of us. Off mo lang naman ung O2. or ifastdrip mo nicard. or injectan mo insulin. emz,” she said.
The Baguio General Hospital nurse was defended by her coworkers, and some even claimed that her Twitter account had been hacked at the time of the controversial message against Marcos.
“Good afternoon, I had to make verification regarding this post… Seemingly, the account of Faith is hacked. A disclaimer is already being prepared by her lawyer to be posted soon.” the Diocese of Northern Philippines’ wrote.
However, some netizens have cast doubt on this explanation, citing the strong security measures of Twitter and the unlikelihood of a hack.
The tweet has since been deleted, but the controversy has sparked conversations about the boundaries of professionalism and ethical conduct in the healthcare industry.
