High Bridge

Recently, a man identified as John Dittman, 22 years old, suddenly changed his mind in the midst of jumping off Aurora Bridge in Seattle, Washington, due to his on-the-spot realization that life is worth living.

This was due to John’s ongoing struggle with mental illness, which had led him to attempt suicide multiple times. He stated that he was exhausted from the daily struggles and felt like there was a voice urging him to take his own life.

John finally mustered up the courage to carry out his plan to take his own life but the events unfolded so quickly that he realized he was not ready to leave the world because life is worth living.

High Bridge

According to John, he estimated that he was falling at a speed of 70 miles per hour or 33 feet per second, and just before hitting the water, he adjusted his body position to avoid hitting the water headfirst, keeping his body straight and his arms raised.

Although he fell into deep water, his landing was clean, which allowed him to survive.
