Here’s the message of Ogie Diaz to the new management of Liza Soberano following the recent claims made.
OGIE DIAZ – Careless exec says Liza Soberano could have been MJ Watson in Marvel but Ogie Diaz has this revelation refuting the claims.
In a previous article, Careless CEO Jeffrey Oh said Liza Soberano had a chance to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as MJ Watson. However, this was prevented because of her existing contract back then according to his statements.
“She was not allowed because she had to do the same thing she’s always been doing,” he said in reference to the loveteam aspect of the Philippine entertainment industry.
Talks about Liza being invited to the audition for the said iconic role have been revived but in 2016, the actress has already clarified this. She was not offered and it was accordingly just an idea insisted on by a fan online.
“It’s not really an invitation. I think it was what the fans wanted lang, fans of Marvel,” Liza said before.
And this was reiterated by Ogie Diaz, her former manager who has been with her from the start of her career. According to Diaz, they have received no invitation to audition at all. And if there was an invitation at that time, he said, “Sino ba naman ang ayaw? Lead yun ano at Hollywood movie na pangarap ni Liza pero wala nga po.”
For Jeffrey Oh, he asked him to show proof on his claims and prove them wrong. And if they were wrong at that time, they could apologize to Liza for it but as far as they were concerned, they haven’t received an invitation to audition.
“You might want to release the receipt or the proof that Liza received an invitation from Marvel to audition for the role of Mary Jane,” he expressed.
