Ogie Diaz talked about Liza Soberano’s statement about the movie ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’
Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz shared that Liza Soberano was doing two projects when the Hello, Love, Goodbye offer came.
Ogie handled Liza’s career for more than a decade. The actress is considered one of the most popular female celebrities of her generation. Despite her stable status in the Philippine entertainment industry, she aspired to widen her horizon.
Liza started pursuing her career in Hollywood. This received support from many fans and celebrities as well. Even Ogie, her former manager, expressed support for her and there was no negative reaction from him when she decided to change her manager.
However, negative reactions were thrown at Liza when she talked about the things she did not like when she was still under her former management.
In her recent vlog guesting on Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo’s YouTube channel, Liza Soberano talked about the blockbuster hit movie Hello, Love, Goodbye starring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards.
She said that she told ABS-CBN to save the project for her and her love team partner Enrique Gil but she learned that the leading was changed and it was offered to Kathryn. This made her panic concerning what might happen to the LizQuen love team.
In a recent Showbiz Update vlog on Ogie Diaz’s YouTube channel, he confirmed that HLG was indeed offered to LizQuen. However, at that time, aside from the TV series Bagani, Liza was also shooting for the Darna movie that eventually became a series. Then, she was injured while doing a fight scene in the series.
“Dahil merong gagawing proyekto si Liza, ito yata ‘yung panahon ng ‘Darna’ na pelikula bago ginawang teleserye. At nakapag-film na siya ng mga eksena with Erik Matti noon. Tapos may ‘Bagani’ sila, then nagka-problema ‘yung daliri ni Liza so hindi siya natuloy,” Ogie said.
When Mama Loi asked Ogie if it is true that Liza told ABS-CBN to save the HLG project for her and Enrique, the talent manager said that as the actress has a sharp memory, then, “Kung yun ang sinabi sa kanya at um-oo ang Star Cinema sa kanya, edi may utang ang Star Cinema sa kanya.”
However, Ogie Diaz still believes that “kung hindi ukol, hindi bubukol” or if it is not meant to be, it will not happen.
