Ogie Diaz has this meaningful post after Liza Soberano’s recent viral statement
Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz wrote in a tweet that if something is not meant to be, it will not happen and this came after actress Liza Soberano’s revelation about the movie Hello, Love, Goodbye.
Liza revealed in Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo’s vlog that she and her reel and real-life boyfriend Enrique Gil was supposed to do the highest-grossing film because it was offered to them first.
The actress said that she told ABS-CBN to save this project for them but eventually, she learned that this was offered to actress Kathryn Bernardo with Quen as the leading man.
Eventually, the movie became a hit and it featured Kathryn’s unexpected tandem with Kapuso star Alden Richards. Many fans of Kathryn slammed Liza. They believe that the character of Joy Marie Fabregas was perfectly played by Kathryn.
Some fans pointed out that the same result will not be possible if Liza Soberano was the one who played the lead female character in HLG.
In a Twitter post shared by director Jojo Saguin, it was pointed out that even if a project was first offered to someone else, the replacement can surprisingly give justice to the role.
The director cited the instance when the TV series La Vida Lena was first offered to Ivana Alawi amid the pandemic. As Ivana refused to do this project because she was not ready yet to do lock-in tapings, this was offered to Erich Gonzales. When Erich accepted this, everything fell into its proper place.
Ogie Diaz retweeted the post that Direk Jojo shared. In the caption of his post, the talent manager-vlogger, who handled Liza’s career for 13 years, said that if things are not meant to happen, these will not happen.
“Ako talaga, naniniwala na kung hindi ukol, hindi bubukol, direk. Pag pinilit, pwedeng ibigay, pero me consequence yon,” Ogie said. He added the hashtag “generally speaking.”
