Joey de Leon has this reaction to the rumored rebranding of ‘Eat Bulaga’
Henyo Master Joey de Leon said that he is both “natatawa” and “natutuwa” as people are talking about the rumored rebranding of the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga.
Joey, together with Tito and Vic Sotto, introduced an entertaining show that has been airing for more than four decades now.
In previous interviews, Joey shared that he is the one who gave the noontime show its name and this is something that he considers an important part of his career in the entertainment industry. He also created the tagline “Hangga’t may bata, may Eat Bulaga.”
However, these past few days, fans of the show have been wondering if it will continue to air or if TVJ will no longer be part of it. The speculations surfaced following the rumors that the show will undergo rebranding and that there is an internal conflict.
Recent reports stated that Zamboanga del Norte, 1st District Rep. Romeo Jalosjos, Jr. takes over Television and Production Exponents (TAPE), he is the son of Zamboanga del Norte congressman Romeo “Romy” Jalosjos Sr. Tony Tuviera is the former CEO of TAPE.
Amid the rebranding rumors and the speculation that TVJ will no longer be part of the show, Tito Sotto shared a photo with Tony Tuviera and asked “who says we’re splitting?”
Joey de Leon also reacted to this issue. In his recent Instagram post, the Henyo Master shared a screenshot of a news article about the rumored rebranding. “Actually, natatawa at natutuwa ako sa mga pangyayari kasi pinag-uusapan pa rin kami hanggang ngayon! Thanks!” he wrote in the caption of his post.
Joey also tagged the Instagram pages of Tito Sotto and Pauleen Luna, the wife of Vic Sotto. One of the prominent comments that this post received was from actress Rosanna Roces. She recalled that she was part of this iconic noontime show.
“Naging part ako nito…from being a fan to being a contestant sa shes got the look..hanggang sa naging part din ako ng pamilya nila. Hanggat may Bata…may EAT BULAGA!!” Rosanna shared.
