Eat Bulaga Issue – Veteran showbiz personality Tito Sotto shared a cryptic post amid the rumored rebranding of the longest-running noontime show.
These past few days, rumors have been circulating saying that there is an internal conflict in Eat Bulaga. It was alleged that Romy Jalosjos was making effort to oust his business partner Tony Tuviera who has been the main person handling the Television and Production Exponents (TAPE), the owner of the popular show.
With this, it was also alleged that the TVJ, Tito’s popular trio with Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon, will no longer be part of the show. Allegedly, with the supposed rebranding, the lineup of hosts will also be changed.
Netizens and avid viewers of the noontime show have different reactions to this rumored rebranding. Some said that rebranding is needed to cope with the current trend, however, there were those who pointed out that the TVJ has been an icon in the entertainment industry and they can’t imagine the show without them.
Amid this Eat Bulaga Issue, Tito Sotto shared a cryptic post on his Instagram page. He shared a photo with Tony Tuviera. It can be seen that the photo was candid and they were talking when it was taken. “Tito and Tony last night! Who says we’re splitting?” the caption of the post stated.
As of this writing, Eat Bulaga or any of the hosts of the show has not spoken yet about the rebranding rumors.
The longest-running noontime show aired its first episode in 1979 on RPN-9. Then, it transferred to ABS-CBN in 1989. From 1995 until now, the show is airing on GMA-7. For more than 4 decades, the show has offered various segments and featured many co-hosts.
