Is it true that Eat Bulaga has an internal conflict?
Rumor has it that the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga is encountering an internal conflict as allegedly Romy Jalosjos wants to oust his business partner Tony Tuviera, along with the pioneer hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.
The noontime show which is currently airing on GMA has become an institution in the history of Philippine television. For more than four decades it continues to give laughter and entertainment to many Filipinos.
However, a recent rumor is making the avid viewers of the show worried. Based on the article in Bilyonaryo, a source revealed that Romy Jaloslos wants to take over Television and Production Exponents (TAPE), the owner of Eat Bulaga, from his partner Antonio “Tony” Tuviera.
It was said that Jaloslos also wants to get rid of the original hosts, Tito, Vic, and Joey (TVJ). “Jalosjos wants to kick Tuviera and TVJ out of the show. He just waited to Tito to get out of politics before launching his takeover bid,” the source revealed.
Tito Sotto’s last political stint was in 2022 when he ran for vice president but unfortunately, he did not win. His prior position was Senate President.
The source also revealed that Jalosjos is trying to do the “divide and conquer” strategy by convincing comedians Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Allan K to replace the senior hosts, the TVJ. It was also alleged that Jalosjos wants her daughter to replace Maine Mendoza.
The source added that on March 2, Tuviera, TVJ, and other hosts of Eat Bulaga had an emergency meeting to plan their move regarding the intention of Jalosjos to take over.
