Proud Mom Flexes High Grades of Son: “Nakalunok ka Ng calculator”

Proud Mom Shares Photo of Son’s High Grades

A proud mom earns reactions from the netizens after flexing the high grades of her son: “Nakalunok ka Ng calculator”.

In the age of social media, it has become increasingly common for parents to post their children’s academic achievements, including their grades, on their online platforms. While the intention behind this may be well-meaning, it raises concerns about privacy, academic pressure, and the impact on the child’s self-esteem.

Posting grades on social media can be seen as a violation of a child’s privacy. By posting grades publicly, parents may be exposing their child’s academic standing to a wider audience, including people who may use the information for malicious purposes.

Instead of posting grades on social media, parents can find other ways to celebrate their child’s academic achievements. They can praise their child’s hard work and dedication in private.

Ayheen Beeme, a Facebook user, recently shared a snapshot of her son’s report card, which showed his outstanding grade for the second quarter. The post soon went viral online, eliciting a wide range of reactions from internet users.

In the post, the young boy identified as Woaquin Ian M. Tabuena receives great marks on the first quarter.  He also receives high grades in the second quarter. He receives a 96 in Filipino and an 85 in Arts (MAPEH).

  1. I used to this also when my son was in his 1st grade in elementary. But we were told by his teacher during our parents meeting that we can post our child’s grade in the report card but we should not include the name and LRN number. Because it may be used by someone to make a bad intentions using the data of our child. What I do now is I just post the recognition certificate of my son if he recieves one. I don’t post his grades in the report card anymore for security purposes of my son. We should be always careful.
