Vice Ganda is a solid Kapamilya
Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda chose to stay with ABS-CBN despite having no contract and here is the reason behind his decision.
Vice’s career bloomed under the Kapamilya network. He did different kinds of shows, concerts, and movies with his home network, and for many years now, he is enjoying the fruit of his hard work in showbiz.
Just like many Kapamilya stars, Vice was also got affected during the pandemic. The network faced the biggest challenge when it was ordered to shut down because of the franchise issue.
However, amid these trials, Vice Ganda chose to stay with his home network, based on the article in Manila Bulletin.
“Ang tagal ng expired ang contract ko (sa ABS-CBN). Hanggang inabutan ng pandemic at franchise issues. Ang tagal ko ng walang kontrata sa ABS-CBN. Parang hindi natin kailangan ng kontrata dahil nandito naman ako. Parang nakapirma na talaga yung puso ko rito,” the It’s Showtime host said.
Vice recently had his contract signing with ABS-CBN and during the event, he looked back on his long journey. He said that it was not easy and there were a lot of difficulties. However, there are also fun times, and for him, overall, it is a colorful journey, a triumphant one.
“Everyday I just live in the now. Kung ano man yung masakit kahapon, kung ano man yung malungkot kahapon, pinipilit ko syang dedmahin kasi gusto ko now. Gusto ko mag concentrate sa now. Gusto kong asikasuhin ko ano ang dapat kong gawin now,” the comedian-host added.
He also shared that at first, he was just “playing” in the Kapamilya noontime show, which is almost 14 years now, but eventually, it felt like a job and then, it became an obligation.
“Ang hirap nung 13 years na yun. Pero gusto ko yun. Ipinagpapasalamat ko yung hirap na yun. Pinaganda ako ng mga hirap na yun. I am full of joy. My heart is overwhelmed with all the things happening right now,” Vice Ganda said.
