Man Shot Dead After Wife and Her Affair Hires Gunman to Kill Him

A wife and her affair were arrested after they allegedly hired a gunman against a man who was shot dead in Batangas.

According to the GMA News report, the shooting and killing of a 27-year-old man in San Jose, Batangas appear to be motivated by a crime of passion. The victim’s wife and suspected lover seemed to be the mastermind of the crime.

Man Shot By Wife Affair

The victim was identified as Emil Jael by police after an inquiry. Jael was shot and died on the spot early Friday morning in Barangay Kalansayan, according to the report.

The man was apparently on his way to work when he was shot. He was shot in the head and did not survive the trip to the hospital. The attacker fled on a motorcycle.

During the course of the investigation, Jael’s wife and her boyfriend revealed to the police that they were the ones who allegedly contracted the victim’s shooting. The lady is claimed to be dissatisfied with her victim spouse.

“Love triangle ito. Involved ang tunay na asawa at ang kaniyang boyfriend,” according to Police Major Hazel Suarez, chief of the San Jose Police Station.

“Doon sa investigation natin, nadulas yung asawa mismo na siya ay may boyfriend na. Sa flow ng ating pagtatanong ay hindi na naitanggi ng suspek na lalaki na sila mismo ang kumontak sa gunman,” he continued.

The suspects, who allegedly made an extrajudicial confession, did not make an official statement, according to the police. Even though what happened to their son is upsetting, Jael’s parents trust that justice will be served. Authorities are still looking for the shooter.
