Police authorities arrested 2 Korean nationals and a Pinoy cohort with illegal drugs during a drug bust in Pasay city.
Members of the Pasay City Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) carried out a buy-bust operation against Koreans and a Filipino accomplice. According to municipal police commander Col. Froilan Uy, the suspects are Yoan Kyeong Ha, 53; Jae Hoon Kung, both Korean nationals; and Marvin de Leon, alias Noel, 19.
According to Uy, the suspects were apprehended at about 10:45 p.m. on Estrella St. in Barangay 14, Zone 1, Pasay City. According to him, members of the SDEU carried out an entrapment operation to apprehend the two Koreans, who were both identified as high-value individuals in the police gallery (HVI).
According to the city police head, members of the SDEU seized two plastic sachets from the arrested individuals. A partially opened sachet containing approximately 2.2 grams of shabu worth P14,960 was also retrieved from the accused.
Police officers recovered a rolled aluminum foil with traces of shabu, a green lighter, and the P300 buy-bust money from them. The confiscated shabu, according to Uy, was sent over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for chemical examination.
He stated that the suspects are presently being held at a police detention center. According to authorities, the suspects were charged with unlawful drug possession.
