Luis Manzano “No Show” in Estafa Case Hearing vs Flex Fuel

Luis Manzano “No Show” in NBI’s Hearing Over Estafa Case Against Flex Fuel

LUIS MANZANO – The lawyer of the actor allegedly “no show” in the hearing against Flex Fuel Corporation over estafa case.

Manzano’s counsel did not appear at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) hearing about the investigation of his estafa case. On Friday, February 10, Manzano’s lawyer received the subpoena after the actor was named in the case against the corporation where he was a former chairman of the board and co-owner.

Instead of a lawyer, the messenger of the law company defending Manzano went to the NBI with a letter explaining that the evidence in the complaint is presently being reviewed. Based on the report, Manzano’s attorneys also asked for a 15-day extension to submit evidence.

Manzano stated that it was only in September that he requested the NBI’s assistance in investigating Flex Fuel. At the same time, it filed a legal case last November, alleging that the aforementioned corporation owed him P66 million.

Due to the absence of dividends paid, the company’s co-owners and investors began filing a lawsuit against Flex Fuel’s management and Manzano in January. At the moment, 50 co-owners have filed complaints against them.

Flex Fuel instantly refuted the charges, claiming that they are not cheating or acting in a fraudulent manner. Rather, the stockholders are accused of slandering them.

The corporation also stated that they are affected by the pandemic. They were also affected by rising inflation and the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, and they made certain that stockholders were not neglected.
