Sunshine Dizon On Leaving and Coming Back To GMA

This is what Sunshine Dizon said to all the speculations of her critics.

SUNSHINE DIZON – Kapuso actress Sunshine Dizon admits she was hurt receiving criticisms on social media over her career moves.

After signing a contract with ABS-CBN last April 2021 and doing several projects with the network, Sunshine Dizon returns to her original home – the GMA-7. She decided to jump to another network at that time her exclusive contract with the Kapuso has not been renewed according to the rumors.

But this year, she surprised her fans when she announced that she is coming back to the Kapuso. She is set to do an upcoming action-adventure series called Mga Lihim Ni Urduja.

She was criticized because of this and these criticisms have affected her. Her intentions were doubted and her loyalty was questioned.

In an interview with Boy Abunda, she was asked, “Bakit ka umalis at bakit ka bumalik?”

She explained that around September, she was offered a contract but she did not sign it immediately for some personal reasons.

“Somehow I felt like, you know, life happened, pandemic happened. I got lost along the way, I wanted to do a lot of things, I wasn’t unsure for what I wanted. And the next thing I knew was March happened, but then I was supposed to sign my new contract, but then… I think it’s more on I felt like I needed to grow, I needed the experience,” she said.

She was seeking growth and that was the right thing to do at that moment for her. She wanted to experience something else.

When asked why she came back, she revealed that she’s a freelancer. She quipped, “I’m free to work with anyone I want to.”

She likes this kind of freedom to be able to work with anyone she wants to work with and people who would want to work with her.
