Will Michelle Dee join another pageant?
Kapuso star Michelle Dee has this answer when asked if she is planning to join Miss Universe Philippines 2023.
Michelle was the winner of Miss World Philippines 2019. In 2022, she joined the Miss Universe Philippines and got the Miss Universe Philippines Tourism 2022 title. She was second to the winner Celeste Cortesi.
Pageant fans in the Philippines noticed the hashtag that Michelle has been using in her social media posts. She would use “#deepatapos” in the caption of her posts. With this, Pinoy pageant enthusiasts could not help but anticipate her future plan of joining a pageant again.
In a recent interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Michelle Dee explained her “deepatapos” hashtag.
“Ever since I started my pageant journey yung hashtag ko has always started with ‘deepatapos.’ So kaya naging ‘deepatapos’ lang, I kind of sinarado ko don because I think I wanted to portray a lot of different things,” she said.
Michelle also shared she still aspires to join a pageant again and she will be using this as a platform for her advocacy. She cited that last month, after the Miss Universe pageant, the organization received a lot of negative reactions.
The Kapuso star said that she wants to change this to positivity. “I saw that the organization actually got a lot of hate or a lot of negativities and I did want to take that opportunity to kind of change the narrative and focus on the good,” Michelle said.
She also said that pageantry is important for her because, through this, she is able to voice out her concern and spread positivity.
“If I want to, yes. Can I? We’ll see,” the actress/beauty queen said when asked if she will join the Miss Universe Philippines this year.
