Michelle Dee talked about her mother in a recent interview
Miss Universe Philippines Tourism 2022 Michelle Dee expressed pride in having Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez as her mother.
Michelle followed the footsteps of her mother in the world of pageantry, as well as in showbiz. The Kapuso actress has already won the Miss World Philippines title in 2019 and she ended the international beauty pageant as one of the 12 finalists.
This year, she added a new beauty pageant title under her name. In her social media post after the pageant, she congratulated the winner Celeste Cortesi and she hinted that this might be not the last for her.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Michelle Dee said that she is thankful to have her mother in her life. “I have nothing but gratitude for my mom. I’m the way that I am [because of] her. I think I’ve become a woman that she can really be proud of,” the beauty queen-actress said.
Talking about Mother’s Day, Michelle said that it is the time to really show to mothers the love and what they really. “It is just right to give back to our parents what you think what’s best because they’ve sacrificed so much to get us where we are,” she added.
Unfortunately, Melanie Marquez was not able to witness the performance of her daughter during the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 coronation night. It is because of an expected problem. The veteran actress was not allowed to enter the Mall of Asia Arena because she was not able to bring her vaccination card.
When she went back home to get her vaccination card, she learned that pieces of her jewelry were gone. Nevertheless, Melanie congratulated Michelle Dee for bagging the MUPH Tourism 2022 title.
