Phivolcs Releases Bulletin about the Earthquake Today in Eastern Samar, February 13, 2023
EARTHQUAKE TODAY – The Phivolcs recorded a 4.0 magnitude quake in Eastern Samar today, Monday, February 13, 2023.
Following the 7.3 magnitude earthquake that jolted a part of Davao Occidental a few days ago, another strong quake was recorded by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs). The quake hit a different part of Eastern Samar. According to the agency, it had a magnitude of 4.0.

According to Phivolcs, the earthquake that hit a part of Eastern Samar was located at 11.09°North, 126.30°East – 064 km North 85° East of Guiuan with a depth of focus of 059 kilometers.
Phivolcs stated in its bulletin that damages are not expected from the said quake as well as aftershocks. Based on the record released, no intensity as well as instrumental intensities were recorded of the said quake.
