LOVI POE – Among the lead stars of “Batang Quiapo” is Lovi Poe and this is what she said about the speculations.
In a previous article, it has been announced that “Batang Quiapo” will air this February 13, and many people guessed that this is the series that will replace “Darna”. Coco Martin is the lead star of this another FPJ classic remake and along with him is Lovi Poe, the daughter of Da King himself.
He is not chasing anything like surpassing the record of his previous series “Ang Probinsyano”. But what he can promise is that he will do anything to deliver success to the series and make their viewers happy and entertained. He wants to serve the audience nothing but the entertainment that they deserve.
Being the daughter of Da King was Lovi required to be a part of the said series?
In a report from ABS-CBN, the actress spoke about this kind of speculation. She clarified that she was not forced or required to be a part of it. However, it was her dream to be working alongside Martin.
Particularly, “Batang Quiapo” is among her favorite films made by her late father. She said, “I had this interview a few years ago and I was asked, what’s your favorite movie of your dad and I remembered answering ‘Batang Quiapo.’ That was like probably more than 5 years ago. Then, suddenly, ito ‘yung nangyari, so, I’m just so grateful to be part of it.”
She did not get the chance to learn action moves from her action star father but she is open to learning these from the people she’s working with.
Martin’s series will start airing six months after FPJAP made a historic ending.
