MMDA Corners Motorcycle Rider Trying to Runaway During Apprehension
A motorcycle rider runaway and tried to escape MMDA enforcers during apprehension, rider says “May exam pa anak ko sir”
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is an agency of the Republic of the Philippines implementing the planning, monitoring and coordinative functions along the road concerning purely local matters.
The agency covers the cities of Manila, Quezon City, Caloocan, Pasay, Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasig, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Parañaque, Valenzuela, Malabon, Taguig, Navotas and San Juan and the municipality of Pateros.
The Facebook page “Gadget Addict” has shared the video of a motorcycle rider who runaway from MMDA enforcers who apprehended him. The video garnered various comments from netizens.
In the video, the MMDA enforcers were able to corner the motorcycle rider who refused to stop after apprehended by several road officers. The enforcers stopped him because a truck got in his way.
Unfortunately, the rider together with his daughter runaway and tried to escape the traffic authorities. The violator explained that he was in a hurry because his daughter need to reach school at 7 am for a summative test.
The MMDA personnel lectured him and told him that the safety of his daughter must be prioritized. Eventually, the latter admitted his mistake and accept the citation ticket from the traffic officers.
