KATHRYN BERNARDO – This is the message of Paolo Contis to Kathryn Bernardo following the issue ignited in a cut video of him.
In a cut video, Kapuso actor Paolo Contis earned the ire of the netizens. While he was all praises to Alden Richards, the one he was interviewing, the video made it appear that he forgot to give Kathryn Bernardo due credit for her work in Hello, Love, Goodbye, the highest-grossing Philippine film of all time.
The short video, obviously cut, ignited an issue.
In a recent interview, Contis was made to talk about this and he believed that this video was intentionally cut to create an issue. It was taken out of context and many people quickly made assumptions without watching the whole video and without hearing his full statement.
He addressed the issue and clarified that if only people watched the entire conversation, they would have heard how they praised Kathryn and how Richards was thankful for the opportunity that was given to him.
“Nadala na naman tayo ng clickbait and sadly, people got mad at me and Alden,” he quipped.
For Kathryn, he said that he respects her as an actress and he shared that he knows she’s one of the biggest stars of ABS-CBN. He hopes she can watch the video to prove that he’s telling the truth and to prove that they did not discredit her hard work for that film.
“Sana mapanood mo ang buong interview para ikaw mismo makita mo na nabigyang respeto ka namin doon sa interview,” the actor said.
