TV host Kat Alano shared her thoughts on cancel culture amid the recent “cake issue” involving actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga.

Alex was criticized for smearing the face of the waiter with icing from her birthday cake. This received negative reactions from many netizens as they believe it was “rude.” Following this issue, several accusations of bad behavior were directed at the actress-vlogger.

Some people working behind the camera attested to the supposed bad behavior of Alex on the set. With this, netizens threw a massive amount of criticism at the younger sister of Toni Gonzaga.

Amid this controversy, Kat Alano shared her thoughts through a Twitter post. She said that people would cancel someone for a small thing over a major incident. “People will cancel you for cake but celebrate you for rape,” she wrote in her tweet on January 19.

It is known to many that Kat revealed that she was raped by a celebrity whose name “rhymes with wrong.” She has not mentioned directly the name of the male celebrity but it was obvious that she is referring to It’s Showtime host Vhong Navarro who is also being accused by model Deniece Cornejo of the same offense.

When news would go out regarding Vhong’s legal battle against Deniece’s accusation, Kat would share cryptic posts. Just recently, Deniece used the same “rhymes with wrong” hashtag when she shared a teaser featuring Vhong’s return to the Kapamilya noontime show.
