Why Herlene Budol Doesn’t Plan On Joining Miss Universe
HERLENE BUDOL – Kapuso star Herlene Budol said she does not have any plans of ever joining the Miss Universe.
Herlene Budol a.k.a. Hipon Girl is a television personality, YouTuber, comedian, actress, and beauty queen. She became well-known after appearing on Wowowin’s “Wil of Fortune” segment in 2019.
In August 2022, Hipon won first runner-up at the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 pageant. She also bagged seven (7) special awards during the pageant.
Following her journey at Bb. Pilipinas 2022, Herlene Budol was supposed to compete in Miss Planet International in Uganda last year. But due to issues with the pageant’s organizers, she withdrew from it.
In a previous article, Herlene revealed having alopecia during her time in Binibining Pilipinas 2022. She claimed that it got worse after her grandmother passed away and while she was in Uganda for Miss Planet International.

On her FB page, Hipon Girl expressed her support for Philippines’ rep Celeste Cortesi after the latter’s Miss Universe stint. She said, “Celeste maganda ka pa din. We love you. Ako nga na budol e.”
The Filipina-Italian beauty queen represented the country at the 71st edition of the MU pageant held in New Orleans, Louisiana. Cortes’s pageant journey was cut short as she was not able to make it to the top 16.
After Hipon posted her message for Cortesi, her fans were then quick to comment on her post, suggesting that she join the prestigious pageant.
In response to her followers’s suggestion Herlene said, “Wag nating ipilit di tayo pang MU pang bardagulan lang tayo. Don tayo sa kung saan lang tayo bagay. Ano sa tingin nyo?”
