Jane de Leon Darna Series To End Soon? Coco Martin Series Rumored To Replace

How true is it that the Darna series of Jane de Leon is set to end three weeks from now?

Rumor has it that the Kapamilya primetime series Darna featuring Jane de Leon is in its last three weeks and allegedly the new series of Coco Martin will replace this.

After years of waiting, fans of Darna were happy when ABS-CBN finally released the first episode of the show on August 15 last year. Four months after the pilot episode rumors surfaced that the series will soon end.

Based on the article in Bandera, rumors surfaced that Darna will have its final three weeks and a new series will be introduced. Reportedly, starting January 9, Monday, the countdown for the last three weeks of Darna will start. The final episode allegedly will air on January 27.

It was also said that on January 30, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, the upcoming series of Coco Martin with Lovi Poe and Charo Santos will replace Darna’s timeslot.

However, as of this writing, the social media pages of JRB Creative Production and ABS-CBN have no official posts yet about this. The season of Darna started in November and Luna was introduced as a new character played by Kira Balinger.

Previously, Jane de Leon shared on her social media post in November that she was confined in the hospital because of various ailments she had due to fatigue and her busy schedule.

To recall, Darna has become a trending topic on social media several times due to negative comments from netizens regarding the special effects. Director Benedict Mique reacted to the negative reactions. He stressed that their team is doing its best to present a good series to the audience. The director also thanked those who continue to show support for the series.
