Lovi Poe Excited To Do Her First FPJ Project with Coco Martin

Lovi Poe and Coco Martin are set to do their first series together

Kapamilya actress Lovi Poe is excited to do her first FPJ project with actor Coco Martin who did the TV adaptation of her father’s Ang Probinsyano.

When Lovi transferred to ABS-CBN, she said that it has been her dream to be in the home of her father, the late Da King Fernando Poe, Jr., who is considered one of the pillars of showbiz in the Philippines.

The first project that Lovi had as a Kapamilya was the Filipino version of the South Korean series Flower of Evil. In the said series, the actress was tagged LPJ that was derived from teh initials of her father because of how good she is in doing action scenes.

Just recently, it was announced that Lovi Poe is set to do her second major project as a Kapamilya and it is the TV adaptation of FPJ’s film Batang Quiapo that was released in 1986. In the said movie, Da King was joined by Maricel Soriano, Sheryl Cruz, Paquito Diaz, Dencio Padilla, and Rex Cortez.

In a recent Instagram post, Lovi expressed her excitement to finally have her first FPJ project. “Couldn’t think of a better team to work with on my first FPJ project. We’re very excited to do this adaptation of Batang Quiapo. Ibibigay namin ang lahat ng aming makakaya para sa lahat ng patuloy na tumatangkilik sa nagiisang Da King,” the actress wrote. She also dedicated this stint to her father. “This one’s for you, Papa,” she added.

The Batang Quiapo series is set to air next year. This is directed by Martin and Malu Sevilla. Aside from Charo Santos, the series will also feature Benzon Dalina, Mark Lapid, Ronwaldo Martin, Ping Medina, Mercedes Cabral, Alan Paule, Susan Africa, Tommy Abuel, Pen Medina, Cherry Pie Picache, Lito Lapid, John Estrada and Christopher De Leon.
