Dennis Trillo caught the attention of viewers and the online community due to this scene in his Kapuso series
Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo has this impactful performance as Crisostomo Ibarra in the recent episode of the primetime series Maria Clara at Ibarra.
Dennis is considered one of the prime actors of the Kapuso network. MCAI has been receiving good reviews, production-wise, and the performances of the cast. Aside from Dennis, Barbie Forteza, Julie Anne San Jose, and Andrea Torres.
Even David Licauco received positive feedback for his performance as Fidel. Just recently, Dennis became one of the trending topics on Twitter. In the scene, Crisostomo Ibarra had his soliloquy as he was stressing the struggles of many Filipinos who were abused by the Spaniards.
He was emotional as he was narrating the predicament that many Filipinos were going through at that time. “Tinanggalan nila tayo ng dangal at winasak nila and ating kinabukasan nang sa gayon ay masakop nila tayo ng kanilang kapangyarihan,” Ibarra said.
Then, the lead character in Jose Rizal’s novel Noli Me Tangere encouraged the people of San Diego to hear his plea. “Ako ay dinggin ninyo, damayan ninyo ako, dinggin niyo kaming sambayanan. Dinggin niyo kami na mga ninakawan ng kapangyarihan!” he said.
Because of this, many netizens lauded Dennis. Through their Twitter posts, netizens expressed admiration for the Kapuso actor.
“Sure we have plenty of amazing actors in [the] [Philippines] BUT some of dem u can clearly see their very specific brand of acting in [the] role they play. [With] Dennis Trillo [you] can barely see him in his roles. He literally transforms into [the] person he is playing & that’s on talent,” Twitter user @dimapawingbagot commented.
One netizen said that the actor deserves a standing ovation for this performance while one said that he is really fit to be Crisostomo Ibarra. There were also netizens who wished that more of this kind of drama series will be shown on TV.
