Will Charo Santos do a project with GMA?
Veteran actress Charo Santos, who was also the Chief Content Officer of ABS-CBN Corporation, was spotted with GMA executives Annette Gozon and Joey Abacan.
Charo has been part of the Kapamilya network for many years now. From being an actress, host of the drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya, she also holds an executive position in the media company.
Just recently, Charo announced that MMK is saying goodbye after over three decades of bringing heartfelt and inspiring stories to the viewers. Despite being a TV executive for many years, Charo still continues doing movie projects.
The most acting recognition she got was from EDDYS (Entertainment Editors’ Choice). She was named by the award-giving body as this year’s Best Actress for the movie Kun Maupay Man It Panahon.
Fans of the veteran actress expect that she will do more acting projects. Based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Charo Santos, and her sister Malou Santos, both of them are now retired TV executives, had a recent lunch meeting with Annette Gozon at Joey Abacan of the Kapuso network.
Entertainment columnist Ed de Leon said that this prompted speculations that Charo and her sister will do a project with GMA. He said that it is possible but it is more likely that GMA is not the one who will do anything for the Santos sisters.
The columnist said that it is because there were reports that Charo and Malou also talked with other companies about a project that they are planning to do.
“Mukhang masyadong malaki ang proyekto, at natural kailangan nila ang backup ng isang malakas na network, na wala sila ngayon dahil nawalan nga ng prangkisa ang ABS-CBN,” de Leon shared his thoughts on this matter.
If this happens, the columnist said that this is the biggest network transfer from Madre Ignacia (ABS-CBN) to Kamuning (GMA).
