A Facebook user named James Abraham Gamilo has shared the photo of “Lapida” they give to their friend Lionell Palgan. The photo immediately spread like a wildfire online and elicits comments from social media users.

In the photo, it can be seen that Lionell is holding a tombstone containing his name. However, the words written were Happy Birthday “Mabuhay ka, susuka pero hindi susuko” instead of Rest in Peace.

James came up with the unique idea to give “Lapida” after realizing that most gifts were just redundant. The unique gift shocked the birthday celebrant but it makes him happy.

“Naisip lang po namin yun para maging unique yung gift namin sa kanya, Nagulat sya and tumawa. Akala daw nya nung una picture frame pero nagtataka sya bakit mabigat,” Gamilo said.
