Boy Abunda Returns to First Home Network, GMA-7
BOY ABUND – The veteran television host spoke on ABS-CBN amid his decision to transfer to GMA-7, the first network to discover him.
In the Philippine showbiz industry, one of the most excellent TV hosts is Boy Abunda. In his entire career as TV host, many of his interviews with celebrities have been on headlines. Many of those actors, actresses, and singers who were involved in the biggest intrigues at a certain time chose to broke their silence through an interview with him. He is tagged as the Philippines’ “King of Talk”.
Boy was discovered by GMA-7 network. He transferred to ABS-CBN where he had most of his biggest talk show projects in his career. However, in 2020, the Kapamilya network was shut down due to franchise issues.
Recently, Boy Abunda signed a contract with GMA-7 network. The King of Talk’s return to his former home network sparked several reports.
Amid his decision to return to GMA-7, Boy Abunda spoke about his former home network, ABS-CBN. Based on an article on Pep, the King of Talk has properly spoke to his former network about his decision to return to the Kapuso network.
Boy stressed that he values relationship which makes “this whole process difficult”. Based on the article, the veteran TV host further expressed that he started his career with Channel 7 where he learned to walk and it was under ABS-CBN where he learned to fly.
“Parati kong sinasabi na doon [Channel 7] ako natuto maglakad, [at] natuto akong lumipad sa ABS-CBN,” the veteran TV host said.
Boy has signed contract with GMA-7 yesterday, December 15, 2022. The Kapuso network has yet to issue a statement on the projects that they plan to give to the returning Kapuso TV host.
