Ivana Alawi Is "Not Beautiful" To Cathy Garcia Molina But This Happened

Cathy Garcia Molina doesn’t find Ivana Alawi beautiful at first but something happened and it changed.

IVANA ALAWI – In a press conference, director Cathy Garcia Molina admitted that she was not a fan of Ivana Alawi’s beauty before.

One of the actresses with the most beautiful faces of today is Ivana Alawi. She rose to the peak of her fame when she did vlogging. But even before her vlogging career, she is already an actress and was able to become a part of the longest drama series in television history, Ang Probinsyano.

And now, after the restrictions due to the pandemic finally loosened up, projects came to her one after another. After doing the drama series A Family Affair, she immediately shifted to doing comedy for her movie debut.

In an MMFF 2022 movie, she worked with multi-awarded personalities such as Kapamilya superstar Vice Ganda and multi-awarded blockbuster director Cathy Garcia Molina.

CGM, in a press conference, admitted that at first, she doesn’t find Ivana beautiful. She couldn’t particularly pinpoint why many people are so amused by her beauty. But then, this changed when they had their look test for the cast.

“Ang totoo, hindi ako nagagandahan kay Ivana — until nag-look test kami. Sabi ko, ‘Ang ganda naman palang bata nito.’ Mahal siya ng kamera. Of course, siyempre, mabait. Hindi naman puwedeng hindi mabait sa akin, ‘di ba. Naggo-grow siya sa akin,” CGM said.

According to the director, the camera loves her and above all, she is “mabait”. In terms of acting, she was also a revelation for the director. She was, at first, hesitant to work on the film because her forte is in rom-com while Ivana is in drama.

But in this film, she did her role well despite coming from a project composed of heavy dramas. She was not the social media darling in the film but Barbara Nicole Rose Albano.
