Cathy Garcia Molina says a different Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla will be shown in their upcoming new film.
KATHRYN BERNARDO AND DANIEL PADILLA – Kapamilya love team Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla will have a new film.
Before the pandemic, Kapamilya love team Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla are supposed to star in a film called “After Forever” by Cathy Garcia Molina. However, this wasn’t pushed and won’t be pushed through anytime soon of the shooting restriction in other countries.
And just recently, in a press conference, she talked about her next project with the screen superstars who are real partners in real life. Accordingly, the shooting will start in the first quarter of 2023 and has to be done before she gets married.
According to the award-winning director, they will go out of their comfort genre which is rom-com. Molina strongly said “no” when asked if the upcoming film would be another rom-com.
She added, “The KathNiel movie is very different. It’s something new and we’re all very excited for KathNiel. Basta, kakaiba! Nanggaling sa aming lahat [na hindi ito gawing romcom], aside from gusto rin nila na makitang bago naman sila.”
It is also the majority’s decision to experiment and not just stick to what they were used to doing. There will still be romance but they will show something new and she is very excited about this based on a report from ABS-CBN.
To recall, CGM has worked with KathNiel in the romcom series “Got to Believe,” the romcom movie “She’s Dating the Gangster,” the romance drama series “Pangako Sa ‘Yo,” the supernatural drama series “La Luna Sangre,” and the romance drama film “The Hows of Us.”
She worked with Kath in movies “Three Words to Forever” and “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”
