Senators Honors Kylie Verzosa for Best Actress Award at DIAFA 2022
SENATORS – The Senate honored Kylie Verzosa who won the best actress in the 2022 Distinctive International Arab Festival Awards in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for the film ‘The Housemaid.’
Last November, senator Manuel “Lito” Lapid presented the Senate with a resolution thanking and praising actress-beauty queen Kylie Verzosa for her contribution to the country. Kylie recently took home the “Best Actress” award at the 2022 Distinctive International Arab Festivals Awards for her major part in the movie “The Housemaid.”
Kylie won Resolution No. 314 for her exceptional work in the aforementioned movie. “The Housemaid” is a remake of a South Korean movie of the same name.
Sen. Lito Lapid said, “Dapat lang na bigyang-parangal ang mga aktor gaya ni Kylie Verzosa sa kanilang mga pambihirang pagganap na nagpapakita sa buong mundo ng husay at galing ng mga Pilipino sa sining ng pag-arte.”
Just recently, the Senate adopted the resolution congratulating Kylie Verzosa on her victory in the Best Actress category at the Dubai, United Arab Emirates-based Distinctive International Arab Festivals Award (DIAFA) in 2022. The Senate unanimously adopted Senate Resolutions Nos. 272 and 314 (Adopted Resolution No. 33) on December 7, 2022. These resolutions were authored by Senators Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. and Lapid.

Revilla and Lapid, led the way in giving the award to Kylie. “Congratulations Kylie Verzosa sa iyong pagkapanalo bilang pinakamahusay na aktres sa 2022 Distinctive International Arab Festival Awards in Dubai, UAE!” said Revilla.
Of course, the beauty queen was very happy because the Senate appreciated her contribution to the field of film or show business.

“Thank you so much to the senate for acknowledging the DIAFAs Best Actress Award that I received in Dubai.
“Thank you to Sen. Lito Lapid and Bong Revilla sa pagpasa ng resolusyon.
“Na minsan kapwa artista lang po ang nakakalam kung ano pong hirap ang ng pagiging aktres.
“To Senator Risa Hontiveros, the short message after the resolution during my first Senate visit to help pass the Mental Health bill, that is now the Mental Health Law. @mentalhealthmatters.
“To Senator Robin Padilla for representing my hometown, Baguio City and Sen. Joel for commemorating my love for Filipino art and cinema.
“Thank you so much, always such and honor to bring pride to the Philippines and to be a Filipino,” said Kylie.
