Jovit Baldivino’s Cause of Death: Official Statement from Singer’s Family Posted

JOVIT BALDIVINO’S CAUSE OF DEATH – The Pinoy Got Talent grand champion died at the age of 29 this morning, December 9, 2022.

A few days after he was reported to have been rushed to the hospital, Jovit Baldivino died at 4:00 a.m. this morning. “He died due to stroke complications” as confirmed by his father, Hilario Baldivino, to ABS-CBN News. A few days ago, amid his medication for hypertension, he went to a Christmas party in Batangas City where he suffered stroke after singing three songs. It was his second time to suffer from stroke because he also had mild stroke last November 22 according to his father.

The singer was rushed to the hospital in Batangas where he was treated for five days. Blood clot was found in his brain which was identified as a sign of aneurysm that was cited in most reports as the cause of the singer’s death. Based on the ABS-CBN News report, he went through an operation but he was not able to wake up after the surgery. The family of the PGT grand winner shared what happened before he fell into a comatose state.

JOVIT BALDIVINO – An official statement from the family of the singer over what happened was sent to Kapamilya news reporter MJ Felipe.

A lot of Filipinos were left shocked and saddened by the reports this morning that Pilipinas Got Talent grand champion Jovit Baldivino passed away early today. He was only 29 years old at the time of his death.

Jovit gained prominence when he joined the ABS-CBN talent search reality show Pilipinas Got Talent in 2010. He was the very first grand winner of the show that went on for several seasons.

Following his PGT victory, he remained in the showbiz industry and is one of those who have performed several times in the ABS-CBN Sunday program ASAP. A few days ago, there were reports that the singer was rushed to the hospital.

Reports confirmed that Jovit Baldivino died today. Recently, an official statement from the family of the singer was sent to ABS-CBN news reporter MJ Felipe through Jovit’s former handler in Star Magic, Jerry Telan.

Based on the statement posted, Jovit’s parents, Mr. Hilario and Mrs. Cristeta Baldivino, and his fiance, Camille Anne Miguel, said that the singer was in the recovery process for a week with maintenance medicines for hypertension. He was advised by his doctor not to sing while recuperating. According to his father, he suffered from mild stroke last November 22.

Amid his recuperation, he was invited by a family friend from Batangas City. The singer, with his nature, gave in to the request of the crowd for him to sing. He sang three (3) songs including Journey’s Faithfully. However, based on the statement, he was already gasping for breath when he was singing the 3rd song.

After an hour, “his face was deformed with flowing salivas” while he was sitting. He was abruptly brought to Nazareth of Jesus Hospital. His CTscan showed blood clot in his brain which was a sign of brain aneurysm. Based on the statement posted on Facebook, he was in comatose state for five (5) days and he died at 4:00 a.m. today, December 9, 2022.
