Time Names Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky, “the Spirit of Ukraine” as “Person of the Year”

UKRAINE PRESIDENT VOLODYMYR ZELENSKY – Time Magazine named the Ukranian President and “the Spirit of Ukraine” as the “Person of the Year”.

Every year, United States news magazine Time Magazine annually recognizes a person, a group, or an idea that has greatly influenced the events of the year. The selection is led by the editors of the magazine.

Recently, Time’s Magazine revealed its “Person of the Year” 2022. The U.S. magazine named Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky and “the Spirit of Ukraine” as the “Person of the Year”.

Zelensky led his country in the war against Russia after the latter which is one of the super powers in the world invaded their nation for various issues including Ukraine’s pursuit to be part of the intergovernmental military alliance NATO.

Zelensky is Ukraine’s president since 2019. Before becoming a politician, he was an actor and comedian. Amid the war between super power Russia and Ukraine, he has stood firm with his country.

Time‘s Magazine which named both Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky and “the spirit of Ukraine” as the “Person of the Year” emphasized the courage of the Ukranians to fight for their country instead of running away for their lives. They fought against “an invading force armed with tanks and attack helicopters”.

Amid the war between Russia and Ukraine, Zelensky has not just the Ukranian but the world as the audience everytime he would speak about their courage to fight for Ukraine.
